Since when are blogs not social media? I don’t know. Always thought they were. Social media is anything put out in the public space that can be shared and/or commented on on massive scale if you ask me. Blogs fit the bill.
Chat, for example, isn’t social media. Neither are phones, email, or SMS because those are typically bi-nodal. Or at least significantly hard to scale up to millions of participants.
